Objective strength testing to guide recovery and performance

At Down South Physio we use evidence-based strength and movement assessment tools to support rehabilitation and return-to-sport decisions. Objective testing helps us understand strength, power and movement capacity in a way that’s backed by data — not guesswork.

Where appropriate, this may include assessments using advanced systems such as dynamometry, which provide clear, measurable benchmarks for:

  • strength deficits after injury or surgery

  • side-to-side comparisons

  • readiness for sport or higher-level activity

These insights help your physio tailor your rehab program, track progress over time and make more confident decisions about safe progression. They’re not used in every case, but when they add value, they help take the guesswork out of rehabilitation.
